Description

For Black Cake, add Prunes, Black Raisins, Black coloring, Stout & Grape Wine

Ingredients
  • 5 1/2 Cups Sugar
  • 1 1/2 lb Butter
  • 8 Eggs
  • 6 cups Flour
  • 6 tablespoons Baking Powder
  • 2 teaspoons Cinnamon
  • 2 teaspoons Nutmeg
  • 2 tablespoons Lemon Essence
  • 2 tablespoons Pineapple Essence
  • 1 tablespoon Rosewater
  • 2 tablespoons Rum
  • 1/4 Cup Golden Syrup or Corn Syrup
  • 1 can Evaporated Milk (12 oz)
  • 1 cup 7Up (7.5oz can)
  • Mixed Fruits
  • Red & Green Cherries (cut in halves)
  • Pineapple Chunks
  • Dates
  • Golden Raisins
Instructions
  1. Heat Oven to 350 degrees

  2. Mix sugar and butter until creamy.

  3. Add eggs.

  4. Add flour, baking powder, Cinnamon and Nutmeg.

  5. Add Evaporated Milk and 7Up.

  6. Add lemon, pineapple essences, rosewater and rum.

  7. Add mixed fruits, golden raisins, dates cherries, pineapple chunks.

  8. Add nuts.

  9. Grease and Flour baking pans.

  10. Bake small pans approximately 45 mins and larger pans 1 hour or more, check using a toothpick inserted into center of cake, if it comes out clean, Cake is done ✔️.

  11. Glaze w Syrup and Rum mixture using small brush.

  12. Enjoy.
